Our Politics, Our Commitment
MYL India stands at the forefront of democratic resistance, social justice, and youth-led political action. As the youth wing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), we organize young people across the country to actively participate in public life, defend constitutional values, and challenge injustice in all its forms. Our movement is rooted in secularism, equality, and an uncompromising commitment to the rights and dignity of every citizen.
The Muslim Youth League (MYL) is a political platform for conscious, informed, and courageous youth. We believe that silence in the face of injustice is complicity. Through political education, mass mobilization, leadership training, and civic action, we work to strengthen democratic institutions and resist forces that threaten pluralism and social harmony. Our goal is to build a generation of politically aware youth who do not merely inherit democracy—but actively protect, deepen, and transform it for a more just and inclusive India.

Organising Youth. Defending Democracy.
The Muslim Youth League (MYL) is the political vanguard of youth within the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). Founded in 1973, MYL organises students and young professionals across India into a disciplined, democratic movement committed to constitutional rights, secularism, and social justice. With a national presence anchored in New Delhi and active state committees nationwide, MYL transforms youthful energy into collective political action.
Rooted in the IUML’s legacy of defending minority rights while upholding the unity and integrity of the nation, MYL stands firmly against injustice, discrimination, and the erosion of democratic values. We believe that democracy survives only when young citizens participate, organise, and resist exclusion. Through political education, leadership development, grassroots mobilisation, and community engagement, MYL works to build a generation that does not merely inherit democracy—but actively protects and strengthens it.
MYL’s politics is unapologetically secular, inclusive, and constitutional. We strive to cultivate confident, politically aware youth who are proud of their identity, committed to pluralism, and prepared to lead struggles for equality, dignity, and communal harmony. As a movement, MYL exists to organise, empower, and mobilise—ensuring that the voices of minority youth remain central to India’s democratic future.

Our Values, Our Vision
MYL India stands as a constitutional force dedicated to defending the foundational principles enshrined in our Republic. As the youth wing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), we mobilize young citizens to safeguard Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity—the core values that define our nation. Our work strengthens parliamentary democracy, advances secularism, and reinforces the rule of law through exclusively peaceful, democratic, and constitutional methods.
The Muslim Youth League (MYL) exists to activate youth as guardians of constitutional governance and democratic practice. We understand that apathy toward democratic erosion enables authoritarianism. Through civic education, constitutional literacy campaigns, youth parliament initiatives, and community dialogue programs, we empower young Indians to become informed participants in democratic processes. Our mission is nurturing a generation that doesn’t simply inherit constitutional rights—but actively exercises, protects, and expands them through lawful engagement, ensuring that India’s democratic institutions remain vibrant, accountable, and truly representative of all citizens regardless of faith, caste, or background.

Our Purpose, Our Path
MYL India stands committed to engaging, educating, and empowering youth—especially those from minority and marginalized communities—through comprehensive programs that cultivate leadership capabilities, social consciousness, and democratic participation. Aligned with the Indian Union Muslim League’s constitutional charter, we champion Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity while strengthening parliamentary democracy, secularism, and the rule of law through peaceful and constitutional means.
The Muslim Youth League (MYL) focuses on securing constitutional rights for Muslims, backward communities, and minorities while promoting communal harmony and national unity. We understand that excluding youth from democratic processes weakens our Republic. Through educational initiatives, leadership development programs, civic awareness campaigns, and policy dialogue forums, we build young citizens who actively engage with governance structures. Our mission centers on grassroots mentorship and advocacy that transforms youth into informed participants, ensuring India’s diverse fabric remains protected, its institutions accountable, and its promise of equality realized for every citizen.
The Indian Union Muslim League has been shaped by a legacy of visionary leaders whose courage, intellect, and service continue to guide our path. From constitution-makers and freedom fighters to parliamentarians and grassroots organisers, these towering figures laid the foundation of a movement rooted in justice, inclusion, and democratic values. Their unwavering commitment to the rights and upliftment of India’s minorities—especially through education, legislative advocacy, and social reform—remains the moral compass of our work today. We honour their legacy not only through remembrance but by striving to uphold the ideals they lived and led by.
